Privacy Policy

Real Prompt Builder ("we", "us") runs the website at realpromptbuilder.com. This policy explains what information the site handles when you use it. The short version: there are no accounts, and the text you type into our tools stays in your browser.
What you type into the tools
The prompt generators, the prompt library and the prompt checker all run as code in your browser. The text you enter, and the prompts built from it, are not sent to us and are not stored on any server we control. When you close or reload the page, that text is gone.
Some links pre-fill a generator by putting options in the web address, for example /coding/?task=debug. Those options are part of the address of the page you request, so they can appear in server logs like any other web address. Text you type into a form is not added to the address.
What is stored on your device
If you use the light and dark mode button, the site saves your choice in your browser's local storage so that it is remembered on your next visit. Your answer to the cookie banner is saved the same way. Both values stay on your device and you can remove them by clearing your browser's site data. Google Analytics, described below, stores cookies in your browser when it runs.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, the servers that deliver this site receive technical details with each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Our hosting provider processes this information to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they use. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view and their web addresses, the site that referred you, your approximate location, and the type of device and browser you use. It does not receive the text you type into the tools.
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Union or elsewhere in Europe, Google Analytics runs only if you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Choosing "Reject" switches Google Analytics off and removes its cookies.
Google processes this information as described in its privacy policy. Wherever you are, you can stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits with "Cookie settings", by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
When you contact us
If you send us a message through the contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. We use them only to reply to you and to deal with your request, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Sharing your information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that need it to run the site, such as our hosting and analytics providers, or when the law requires us to.
Third-party sites
You will usually paste the prompts you build into an AI service such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Those services are run by other companies and have their own privacy policies, which apply to anything you submit to them.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information an organisation holds about you and to have it corrected or deleted. Because we do not keep accounts or store what you type, we hold very little. To make a request, use the contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
